Amsterdam's Red Light District: La Vie en Rose

La Vie en Rose is the only remaining area of Amsterdam's red light district with windows inside. It's situated towards the end of Bethlemsteeg just before the La Vie en Proost bar / club. La Vie en Rose is free to enter and has 9 red light windows. I find it funny how a lot of tourists get to the entrance and look in but are too afraid to enter. I guess this comes from all the rip-off places in other countries like London and France. In Amsterdam though they have nothing to worry about and tourists can freely enter and leave with no danger of being scammed or charged for something they didn't realise. People should be aware though that it is a very small walk around area without much light. There are usually girls in windows, plenty of people plus CCTV but it would be a good place for a pickpocketer to work.
Photo taken around 2010.
See video below of La Vie en Rose which I took in 2009.
