Inside one of the ex RLD windows which goes from Dollebegijnensteeg through to Trompettersteeg. This photo was taken in June 2014 from Dolleb and you can see Tromp in the distance. The graffiti just visible is actually a reflection from Dolleb. Below you can see how these windows looked prior to 2012.

This was Dollebegijnensteeg 3-3, 3-2, 3-1 in Amsterdam's red light district back in 2010. The windows closed on 9th August 2012 as part of Project 1012. Project 1012 is the plan to revitalise central Amsterdam within the 1012 postcode area. It proposes to reduce the size of the red light district and confine it to a more manageable area along the Oudezijds Achterburgwal canal and immediately surrounding streets. All windows in the Sexy Land area including those around the Oude kerk (everything west of the Oudezijds Voorburgwal canal) are due to close.
The first 15 windows to close were rented from Office 52. The owner agreed to swap them for windows in the allowed region. These 'new' windows had previously shut in 2007/8 during the BIBOB closures which penalised owners who were thought to be connected with criminal activities like tax evasion.
Time line-

Spring 2014
Shop / cafe / gallery type places opens in the former RLD windows of Sint Annendwarsstraat 3-1, 3-2 and Trompettersteeg 3-3, 3-4, 3-5. Just like the Ton Ton club at the former Sexy Land adult shop they appear to be very low quality and just subsidised fill-ins until proper businesses take over.
